Welcome to Sussex Neurodiversity Support. I am a Specialist Teacher and Educational Neuroscientist who provides consultancy, tutoring and informative assessments to neurodivergent students and families across the south east and online. I have worked in both state and private schools for 15 years but now mostly work with students 1:1 in alternative provision. Currently, I work with children and young people ranging from 3 years old up to sixth form with mild to moderate learning needs. I started Sussex Neurodiversity Support after witnessing the challenges of an oversubscribed education system for families, students and SENDCos alike. I aim to offer joined-up support that leads to tangible progress at school and at home; breaking the negative cycle that undermines student success.

HOW CAN I SUPPORT YOU?
-

CONSULTANCY
The journey towards understanding your child always starts with an open and honest discussion. As an experienced teacher, SENDCo and consultant, I understand the importance of liaising with your child’s school in order for their needs to be met in their everyday setting. I am able to check and create documents for you and attend meetings as required.
-

ASSESSMENT
At Sussex Neurodiversity Support, I combine Educational Neuroscience, Psychology and Specialist Teaching to assess and observe the complexities of each child. This can give you an informative report which will clearly explain your child’s abilities, differences and any underlying barriers.

SPECIALIST TUTORING
As a specialist SEND tutor, registered with the BDA, I utilise my experience and training to deliver tailored sessions to each pupil ranging from mild to moderate+ needs . Background information, reports and EHCPs are used to inform all planning and delivery. Feedback is given after each session and progress reports can be provided every term or half term as required.
With You For The Whole Journey…
The journey towards understanding your child is a marathon, not a sprint. You may be at the very beginnings of suspecting something is different, or you may already be aware of your child’s neurodiversity but are struggling to get support in an overloaded system.
Wherever you are in the process, Sussex Neurodiversity Support can help. With a wealth of expertise in Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia, ADHD, Autism, Processing Disorders and Anxiety Disorders, I understand the difficulties experienced in navigating the school institution and can put you on the right path.
